My group consisted of Daniel Tamayo And Ca’Dayzia Williams. We got off to a rocky start in this project and that was for a number of reasons, i wasn't there and work got ignored but we pulled together and came up with a nice final mobile. I think I fell short by not communicating with my group as I should have.
In Carol's class I learned a lot about brazil because most of my information comes from my parents and this project made me talk to them about Brazil and its culture more than i would have normally
In physics, we learned how to calculate torque in both foot pounds and Newton meters as well as finding equilibrium and missing variables in torque calculations. We use physics thinking while designing our mobiles. We used math to calculate the torque of each panel of our mobile and to find equilibrium.
Most of our projects was built as well as painted in engineering so we spent a lot of time in this class I learned new skills like how to better use a miter saw and skill saws I learned from my group mates how to paint better
Our exhibition was at an Elementary School in Vista where we read to children. This was very difficult because the children had a very short attention span and it was hard to get their attention back. I think this would have turned out better if we had red two smaller groups of older kids because the content of our stories was higher level than these kids were used to. I think our mobile turn. Well because Ca'dayzia Daniel and I worked hard to get on mobile done and the ended up looking good I think I should have strong work ethic in this project because we had last time and had materials taken so things have to be redone. I think that this project showed I need to grow in the oral communication both to my group mates and with children.
