For my career day I went to JBA speedshop, This was a really cool and fun experience for me. The day started with a tour from the general manager Bruce Tucker then I got to meet a few employees and had an awesome time talking with Austin Bittle whose job title is Parts manager but if all he did was what his job title says, the shop would be needing to hire another employee. After speaking with Austin I met Rob who does a lot of things at jba as well, from tires to washing cars he is everyones “go to guy”. The only thing I did to help while I was there was help wash 2 mustangs one was a classic GT500 as well as a new heavily modded and wrapped GT350. It was really cool to learn something about washing cars and i'm glad to have been some small help. I didn't know much aside from that they make cars faster. I learned that this is a profession that I would possibly be interested in going into, I think the environment is fun and interesting and also constantly changing. Describe the interview you conducted. Do not just list the questions and answers. I had a really good conversation with Austin Bittle the son of the owner of the shop. He went to college and worked as a general manager for a large pool equipment distributor and then came back to JBA because he didn't like what he was doing there because he wasn't passionate about pool supplies. I think that next year for internship I am going to try and get a job with a design firm or a large scale performance parts supplier like Edelbrock.
